Recycling is important to me! I see other people also trying to recycle and that is great! I know it is not easy and it does take some effort. Recently, I took cans to the Boulder Transfer Site (lovingly called “The Dump”). I was appalled at the number of bags of cans in the recycle container. Do people not realize, it is a waste of our tax dollars to pay the truck driver to wait while someone else empties those bags or to take the time to empty them himself. Please be conscientious and do your full part to recycle, and use our tax dollars wisely. Empty your plastic bags and do not throw them into the can recycle container.

Thank you to Jefferson County Solid Waste and County Commissioners for your efforts to accommodate recycling efforts, including the addition of a container near the cardboard recycling area to accept tin and other salvageable metal. Recycle in Boulder is supported by the Boulder Area Chamber of Commerce.
