Census 2020: Jefferson County has grown, but unevenly

The U.S. Census Bureau has released 2020 population data for cities and unincorporated places. The new numbers aren’t surprising: Communities in Helena’s orbit, to the north, have accounted for nearly all of Jefferson County’s overall growth. Boulder and Whitehall, meanwhile, have stayed about even. This chart shows the 2020 population for each community and its percentage increase or decline from 2010.
