Just a few days after playing host to cowboys and fair-goers, the Jefferson County Recreation Park welcomed Montana Shakespeare in the Parks for a free performance of William Shakespeare's "Cymbeline." Shakespeare in the Parks, a traveling theater offered by Montana State University, performs in a different town nearly every night from mid-June through mid-September, and the troupe stopped in Boulder as their 2021 season came to a close. This summer, the group alternated between "Cymbeline" and "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Actors and actresses—all professionals from around the country hired specifically for the tour—assemble their stage, perform, then tear-down the stage at each performance without the assistance of a stage crew.
