Jefferson High seniors made a traditional pilgrimage on Friday, Sept. 6 when they hiked up a hill overlooking Boulder from the west to repaint the J and change the year to reflect the incoming graduating class.
The seniors applied about as much paint to one another as they did the stones comprising the J and 20.

They and their fellow seniors were participating in a tradition where the J is given a fresh coat of white paint and the year is updated to reflect the next graduating class. The event helped kick off homecoming week.
