Boulder/Bull Mountain Volunteer fire departments on Saturday held their annual corned beef and cabbage fundraiser at the Boulder Fire Hall, Windsor Bar and Boulder Basin Senior Center. Firefighters and their friends and family worked in the kitchen and on the serving lines.

“We made over $2,300 and [Bull Mountain Rural Fire Chief] Cory [Kirsch] says this was one of the best ones we’ve done,” firefighter Steve Carey said by email. “We’ve had a lot more community interest and support this year.”

Some of that support included food donations. Carey wrote that L & P Grocery donated the cabbage, Elkhorn Cafe donated the trays and The Sweet Spot donated the rolls.
