It truly is a Christmas miracle: The Monitor has learned that last year, nearly all school-aged kids in Jefferson County were good — often very, very good, and in at least one case, good “all the time.” They have done their chores, been respectful to their parents, and treated their siblings with uncommon generosity and kindness.

The sources for this startling news are the children themselves, via their propitiously timed letters to Santa Claus — copies of which were leaked to The Monitor by teachers at Montana City, Clancy, and Boulder Elementary schools.
