Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Dispatch Position

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for a fulltime dispatch position. The position will be located at the Law and Justice Center in Boulder Montana. 


18 Years of age 

High School Diploma

Must have or be able to obtain a Montana Driver’s License

Must be of good moral character with no criminal record.

A background investigation will be conducted.

Must successfully complete public safety communicator and emergency medical dispatch courses after hire.

Law Enforcement and computer experience preferred. 

Must be willing and able to do shift work to include nights, weekends, and holidays. 

10 or 12 hour shifts available. After successful completion of the 14-week in-house training program, the incumbent will have the option of Sunday-Wednesday 6am-4pm or Sunday-Wednesday 8pm-6am. Both shifts are flexible to be 10- or 12-hour shifts.

Beginning salary: $16.75 per hour or higher depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits. Routine cost of living increases, County contributed health insurance and HSA, yearly uniform allowance, sick leave accrual, paid time off accrual, union representation, & on-going training.
